On the River Denial

On the River Denial

I did some hanging out with the crafty crew of the Richmond Craft Mafia tonight.  We’re firming up details for the Handmade Holiday Show, at the Visual Art Center in December. I always get inspired from hanging out with my friends.  and they always have something new and interesting going on.

And I am soo not ready.  Lots of ideas for new items, lots of sewing to do for boosting in-stock product for the show. And I am in full on denial mode,  What Holiday show? I have plenty of time, I’ll work on that tomorrow…   And I am easily distracted with wanting to start a totally new project, learning how to silk screen.  Wave to me from the shore of reality as I float by on my river of denial.  ;-)

Tired Tuesday

Tired Tuesday

Not feeling particularly crafty today.  Lots of things I need to do but lacking steam to do them.  I’m pulling from my handy dandy mp3 playlist to get motivated and reading some of my favorite style blogs to get inspiration.

Check out my list on the right side of the screen and to just to name a few:
Decor 8: I love looking at this blog and mentally decorating my city loft…for when I get one!
Design Sponge: ditto!
JuBella:  I just recently discovered. She just posted a Bread Pudding French Toast recipe that I will actually try to make.

NaNoWri No?

NaNoWri No?

Well, I got off to a rocky start for NaNoWriMo. I’m behind hmm…5 days!!  I haven’t given up the fight though. I have scheduled a “write time” for myself tonight. (before Eleventh Hour, my new favorite show)  And I do have lots of notes.  But my one complaint is that I do wish NaNoWriMo happened in some other month, like August or January. November is such a busy time for holiday season sewing that needs to get done. Thats my one gripe. (well for this issue anyway!)  I guess I could muster the decipline to do it outside of the push of NaNo November. The problem is, there is always something else in the way regardless of the month.
Oh the life of a Artiste.  *pah-leeze!*

Neat stuff on the web…

Neat stuff on the web…

I am on the web ALOT. Mostly for business (email, updating my Etsy shop, etc) but I do realize that I am easily distracted by the shiny and the interesting. Some days the ratio of business web vs. distracted/procrastination web is pretty bad but I’m working on it. :-) Today, I found Wordle.

It generates this cool word clouds from your blog, website, or any text you cut and paste into their program. This word cloud is what was generated from my neglected del.icio.us account. Neato!!
