Time for holiday cheer! The Richmond Craft Mafia yearly Handmade Holiday Craft Show is this Sunday. I’m busily sewing away on more pouches and may make some new items to throw in the NLD mix. Here is a sneak peak of what I am working on.

Merry Christmas
Its that time again! The 5th annual RCM Handmade Holiday craft show, our second year at the Visual Arts Center of Richmond at 1812 Main Street, Richmond, VA 23220. I’m going to be there, my peeps the Richmond Craft Mafia and 40 more awesome crafty Richmonders.
If you are there, you’ll get to see the new Nicole Lee Designs pillow line in person. Cute Eh? I think so.
The details:

No tickets or invite required, just a suggested donation of $10 at the door to benefit The Visual Arts Center of Richmond (formerly the Hand Workshop). Hey ya’ll! Do you love a good sale? Me too! So for Thanksgiving week Monday, November 23 to November 30th, I am having a 20% off sale on orders over $10 on my home site, NicoleLeeDesigns.com and in my Etsy shop using the discount code Thanks09. For Etsy orders, your discount amount will be refunded to you via Paypal.
Also, I’ve been trying out some new designs.
We need a few good volunteers! Volunteers will do things like help vendors unload/load their cars, help shoppers find their way around, pass out show maps, and generally keep things running smoothly. You can stay for part of the day or all day long. Volunteers get a free admittance to the Ticketed Preview Party on Friday night and our never-ending love and affection.
Friday Volunteers are needed to help folks unload and setup in the afternoon, between 4pm and 7pm. We will have a large number of vendors trying to get into a somewhat car-challenged space, and need some active, afternoon helpers to keep things moving.
Friday Show Volunteers are needed from 7pm – 10pm to assist customers and generally keep things running smoothly.
Take-Down Volunteers are needed from 4:30 to 6pm, to help vendors pack up and clean up the facility.
Interested in volunteering? Send an email to Kelly@modernjune.com.
I don’t usually post about items I think are cute on this blog, but since the holidays are zooming in close and these fit the scene, here ya go.

Cuore’s Stewart the Owl holiday stocking = LOVE! I love owls and I love that its not a traditional type of Christmas stocking. I have my eye on a couple of different items in her shop.

Larkstudio’s scrabble tile ornaments are cute and nostalgic. She also has several other holiday words so you can pick your favorite or even order them all to create a nice holiday set to give as a gift!

Modern June retro oilcloth tree skirts are crazy cool. And waterproof, no wet fabric under the tree when keeping it fresh with water. No mess and in many other stylish prints to suit your tree color scheme!
I did some hanging out with the crafty crew of the Richmond Craft Mafia tonight. We’re firming up details for the Handmade Holiday Show, at the Visual Art Center in December. I always get inspired from hanging out with my friends. and they always have something new and interesting going on.

And I am soo not ready. Lots of ideas for new items, lots of sewing to do for boosting in-stock product for the show. And I am in full on denial mode, What Holiday show? I have plenty of time, I’ll work on that tomorrow… And I am easily distracted with wanting to start a totally new project, learning how to silk screen. Wave to me from the shore of reality as I float by on my river of denial.
Hey there Richmond artists and crafters!
Handmade Holiday’s vendor applications are due Monday. Apply here today!!
