An empty bin!! And I have the Crafters Anonymous Craft Swap to thank for it.  It feels good to have finally let go of some of my fabric/craft stash that I will never get around to using. And I have a nice big empty bin to show for it. buster bin1
Someone else looks happy too!

I did acquire a little bit at the swap. Restraint was strong with me that day, there was a lot of good stuff! I will, will will be using them PDQ.

Catch Up – Day 2

One prototype down, doing tweaks to the pattern and will cut out the bag again. And most of the  incomplete projects, completed. Still only slight dent in what I’d like to get done this week.  Shockers of shockers, I am actually running low on some supplies, mainly interfacing. Its one of those things that you seem to just have, until you notice that you need a yard of it and only have this oddly shaped 4 inch strip left. Not quite that bad yet but,  I’ll have to make a store run soon.

Out From Under The Bridge

I am a bit of a homebody, borderline hermit. But I did venture out from under the bridge today to celebrate my friend’s Dawn and Craig’s new kitchen and done home renovations. Some of my mafia peeps were there and met some new people too. I missed a couple of other friends open houses, parties, and what not so far this year.  Its an on going process to force myself to get out more. Sometimes I make it, sometimes I don’t.

Back to the agenda for this weekend, finish the items using my new fabric. My two week deadline is ticking away. And I need to make some more pouches in some brighter fabrics.

Must De-stash

I MUST de-stash some of my fabrics. I just haven’t figured out how to.  Maybe an etsy shop?  At this point, its a little overwhelming to try to “make” something out of all of it.

This is just one drawer of 1/2 yd-1 yd pieces.  I am actively mining through this one, but I have others. At least this one I can look in and remember what projects I earmarked them for. I did get an organizing bug and have them divided by colors or type, pink/red in one drawer, silks and satins in another.  Its about as rare as Haley’s comet but occasionally I do have sparks of organization.

The dog is doing considerably better today.  Thanks goodness.  The fleas were driving him a bit nutty. He is admittedly a pampered pooch, so he’s not use to being bit all up. He feels good enough play with the new toy I picked up while loading up on anti-flea products.

Is there a 12 step program for fabric addicts? because I think I need to go weekly.  During my daily internet browsing, I usually spot some really cool fabric and I always can figure out some design for it.  The problem is when will I actually get around to using the fabric. I’ve been better about talking myself out of acquiring more fabric lately and I have a new rule on myself that if I do get the fabric, I have to use it within two weeks.
Now on to why this post is named Scooter Luv:

I love fabric…

Well, its not like it was a secret or anything. :-) I received my fabric from Spoonflower a couple of days ago. I am extremely happy with the results even though, I messed up the scale and repeat of the designs. The design/repeat is a little too big than what I was envisioning but the fabric is still super cute and the print quality is great. I’m addicted!!! I’m starting to go through old doodles to see if they would translate to cool fabric prints.

The beehive print is the logo for my other crafty endevor I started with my mom for an upcoming product set. Gotta love etsy, since I found Henry Rabbit, one of the grooviest logo designers on there.
